A reference travels through three actors and one cryptographic check. Here's the actual flow — top to bottom.
AADE tax-registry certificate. We extract your AFM, hash it (HMAC-SHA256), and bind it to your account. The PDF is discarded immediately.
The official contract for a past tenancy. We parse every lessor + tenant AFM and add the tenancy to your rental CV — only if your verified AFM is in the tenant list.
Enter their email. We generate a one-time link valid for 14 days and send it.

We verify the AFM is legitimate (Greek mod-11 checksum) and appears as a lessor on the AADE contract you uploaded. Mismatch → silent rejection.

Every reference in this report is anchored to an official Greek State Δήλωση Πληροφοριακών Στοιχείων Μίσθωσης (AADE). The platform has mathematically verified that the person submitting each review actively held the AFM listed as the Lessor for the exact tenancy dates shown.

A platform for Greek tenants to build a verified rental CV. You invite past landlords to leave structured references, anchored to your official AADE rental declarations. You then share that CV — via a time-limited link — with prospective landlords when applying for a new flat.
No. Landlords leave references statelessly — they open the email invitation, upload their ΜΗΤΡΩΟ alongside the form, and submit. No signup, no password, no future obligations. Only tenants have accounts.
Only the verified facts: the hashed AFM, the rental dates, and the AADE declaration number — fields extracted from the declaration. The PDF file itself is parsed and immediately discarded. The property address, the rent amount, and the landlord's name are deliberately not stored, even though the parser sees them. We don't keep your ΜΗΤΡΩΟ or your rental contract.
Hashed. We compute HMAC-SHA256(your AFM, server pepper) and store only the resulting 64-character hash. The plaintext 9-digit AFM never lives in our database. Even a full database leak would not expose any AFM without also stealing the server pepper, which lives only in the API process's environment.
Yes — and it's the reason we're tenant-led, not a public review board. Lawful basis for processing is your explicit consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), data minimisation is built in (we keep only verified facts), retention is bounded by the share link lifetime, and you can revoke consent or delete your account at any time.
Not in isolation. A reference can only be submitted by someone whose ΜΗΤΡΩΟ — a digitally signed AADE document — proves they hold an AFM listed as a lessor on a real contract. To fake a reference, the tenant would need a co-conspirator with a real Greek AFM willing to lie. That's the same vulnerability every reference system carries.
Public review sites publish reviews about identifiable individuals without consent — which is why EU data-protection authorities have fined them repeatedly. Rentpass is the opposite: tenants own and curate their record, and reference data only moves with explicit per-share consent. We're not a blacklist.
Yes. Account deletion removes your user record and all tenancies, references, share links, and invitations. The audit log retains the fact a deletion occurred (required for compliance) but not the data being deleted.
Nothing — on either side. Tenants build and share their rental CV for free. Landlords view Tenant Reports for free. There are no per-vet fees, no subscription tiers, and no credit card required. We're keeping Rentpass free for both parties.
ΜΗΤΡΩΟ (Βεβαίωση Στοιχείων Φυσικού Προσώπου) is the AADE-issued tax-registry certificate that proves a citizen owns a given AFM. We use it to confirm identity at the boundary — once at signup for tenants, once per reference submission for landlords. We then discard the file.
